WHO ARE WE?

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to help those impacted by anxiety either through direct service delivery or empowering communities with the tools they need to support anxious youth. Our individual commitment is delivered through individual, group, bootcamp sessions to youth and families who suffer from anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, developing innovative / comprehensive treatments that revolve around the core FACE your FEARS curriculum. Our community commitment is delivered through training and partnerships with key community stakeholders (school systems, community mental health, doctors offices, and parents) focused on equipping these people and organizations with the knowledge and tools to understand and address anxiety in their respective spheres of influence with youth.

Dr. Cypers freely shares that he was an anxious child in his youth. His parents identified his anxiety and brought him to a psychologist in the 4th grade. He notes that while the relationship was supportive and beneficial (he always reminds folks he is partially a psychologist today because of it), he understood that he never really learned any tools or supports for his anxiety so continued to be plagued by it. This experience lead him to purse a degree in psychology, with the belief that we can harness the power of the therapeutic relationship yet give people tools and understanding to hasten the change process. He devoted his studies and career to this pursuit, leading to the FACE your FEARS program.
